River walks

at the heart of Cotentin

Moored at the pier of Port-Jourdan in Saint-Côme-du-Mont, the Barbey d’Aurévilly II, named after the writer born in Saint-Sauveur-le-Vicomte, is a barge 12 meters long with sheltered bridge that will take you through the marshes, discover the history of places and observe the fauna and flora typical of these places.

You can choose between the 3-hour trip to Liesville-sur-Douve or the day trip to Les Moitiers en Bauptois with a picnic stop or meal at the Auberge de l’Ouve.

Dominic, the captain, will explain the life of the marsh and list the many species of birds you will encounter: seagulls, cormorants, mallards, egrets, herons, cresselle falcons, kingfishers, white swans … Photographers, to your photos for beautiful memories!
